Following the death of Brother Emerson Wilson, Brother Roger Decker felt the call to become the pastor of the Church of God at God's Acres in May of 1987.

He and his wife, Sister Roxanna Decker, are the parents of five children, twenty-four grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

They have served the Lord for over forty years, being a great help and inspiration to the congregation.
